5. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
5.1 General quality statement. The products provided shall conform to the requirements of this commercial item description, and the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
6. PACKAGING, PACKING, AND MARKING. The packaging, packing, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
7. NOTES
7.1 Intended use. Towels described by this CID are intended for general cleaning, polishing and wiping, on dry wet, and oily surfaces.
7.2 Ordering data. Purchasers should select the preferred options permitted herein and include the following information in procurement documents:
a. Title, number and date of this CID.
b. Type and size.
c. The packaging, packing, and marking desired.
7.3 Part Identification Number (PIN). This part numbering system is intended for identification and cross-indexing of the item by the government only and does not constitute a requirement for the contractor.
